The Epic of Gilgamesh is another Large Guardian event in Glaverow Volcanic Zone. See the Large Guardian page for details on hunting. The major difference between Bahamut's Descent and the Epic of Gilgamesh, is that all the Large Guardians have the same shape: Giant. This removes the possibility of resetting the Large Guardian if you saw a shape you didn't want.
Things just got a little more dangerous in Northern Cross, Masters. And when I say a little, I mean a lot! The guild has announced that none other than half-man half-god Gilgamesh himself has been spotted in Glaverow. You know Nine-Lives Lenny never lies, so believe me when I say you won't want to miss the chance to add this Guardian to your collection.

- There are five new large Guardians, of which Gilgamesh is a rare spawn.
- All large Guardians now share the same silhouette.
- Large Guardians cannot be defeated in a single hunt.
- Damage to large Guardians is saved, and they can be defeated over the course of multiple hunts.
- Large Guardian types which spawned prior to 12:00 a.m. on January 9, 2013(EST), will no longer appear.
